It's to reduce no shows and help work around people's schedules. Obviously it isn't as fixed to where somebody could abuse it. There's ample time given for all bars and verses to come in, but for those that are the odd ones out, who don't check in or are the last to have their battles open, their battles get closed to move the week forward.

I think I've had it since WK01 or WK02 of the 1-2 Punch League. We're at WK17 right now and it's been great. Same with LLL. It's been going on for like 9 or 10 weeks. Everybody has adopted the mindset of getting their material in asap, but they also know if they can't then they have time to slowly put something together without stressing over a deadline.
