I’d love that, but the whole thing would be skewed by any no-shows. I’d say maybe put the elusive 4 in one battle so it wouldn’t matter, but if one of them does turn up it would be difficult. Also would everyone still get to battle the opponent who they were already scheduled to battle that week? Probably best to randomly pick the pairings, coz, you know.

Wait, I lost, maybe not), video game reference battle (in memory of Chree, rest his soul), a literary reference battle (sorry KnoX, colouring books don’t count), an obscure reference battle (or for Shaman, a regular battle), an alias battle round (or for Jack, a regular battle), a battle imitating your opponent’s style (but HEK’S OPPONENT will be EXTRA POTENT!!!) (Miracle can do a great Spree impression and not bother showing up), a short line battle with syllable count limit (uh oh maybe not!), a battle with 12 lines of material each (hey what do you mean I do that every week? no I do not!), a dissing Bag and MV round (nah they’re sweetiepoohs, who could possibly?) horny fish vs diabetic dolphins (MV’s idea, blame him), or…

Haha I actually do pronounce it that way. In my accent Paul and Pool are nearly indistinguishable, as are stall and stool. Willie? Is he Scottish? I don’t sound like that, I got a gurt lush Somerset accent, innum? Like a stereotypical English farmer. Like this guy’s but milder

This is how it's turned out. We could bump the line count up to 12 if everyone is ok with it? The possible no shows, based on historical events, have an asterix* next to their name. Bad news is you'll have to write twice as much if your partner doesn't turn up but having 2 opponents to go at evens it out a bit, +bragging rights winning a 2 vs 1

I was gonna ask if teams can write as many lines as they like up to a maximum of 16 lines per pair, and if we can all have a longer writing period to facilitate back and forth discussions for partners in different timezones?

Good point bout the time difference, I deffo agree with a longer prep time for this one. Man I'd like to make it a 32 bar battle & give some room for some jokey playful shit too but I'm 99% sure Un & Spree won't show & 50:50 on whether dave & miracle will. Also I don't think @Knoxville can drop this week either - let me know plz.

@Bag Mandela I think I'm cool with just 12. It seems it's just a repairing of me and Mal this time around anyway ... But imo just give anyone else the amount of bars they want to write. Maybe Virb can even get a dispensation for being the cypher winner, if the other cats in his battle agree.

@Virbius yeah Willie is Scottish, but I feel like I've heard English accents that are kinda similar. This Somerset stuff is not what I expected, though. More comprehensible than e.g. Manchester or Cockney.
