Trapped in the confinement of my mind I struggle to find...
Illusion and reality...tightly grip the pen and draw the line...

Impatiently I wait, watch the clock an wait for it to break...

I quickly pace through crowds, to escape this round...
Now lost in thoughts trail...I’m running from insanity...
I panic frantically...As my breath begins to fade rapidly...
My lung capacity can’t tolerate...There’s no hope to escape...
Confused in a daze...I try to separate the real from the fake...
As I continue to break...Through my fingers my fate slips away...
I can’t help but obey the calling that leads me to betray…
Myself...an portray someone else…Which isn’t me…
An deliberately easily fall victim like a fiend to the heat…
As my knees hit the cold concrete…I give-in in defeat…
“What do you want from me!” I turn to the streets an I plead…
As my retreat’s complete…I face him an eye to eye we meet…
He speaks “Now Eleete, you really didn’t think you could escape the beat?”

Paranoia sets in, I’m glancing over my shoulders,
The chill bumps grow colder
As my stepping stones are substitute with boulders.
Sitting behind stacked folders of written collaborations,
While my gifted imaginations
Conjuring a presence that’s in every way non-evasive.
Shaken, I sit non-complacent holding this pen
And boldly listen
To the sound with the mission to cause indecision
Within my thoughts of what to do next.
Too perplexed,
I lock every door and fasten every window
While massive innuendo
Tells me there more to this elapsed scenario.
Very slow with my elbow, I tap the closet,
"Fuck, have I lost it?!",
I storm to the sink to wet my face and in attempt, snap the faucet.
Within the allotted time, I secure the water line,
Taking this nautical sign
To return to my desk and in turn relinquish prodicle lines.
While jotting rhymes, I notice the fear is passing,
Its end is near my grasping
And appears to be geared on the ink that’s everlasting.
The last thing I’ll ever do...is let the past repeat,
You’ll never catch me
Because while I’m writing...I’m escaping the beat...

Breath’s on short notice, starting to lose focus
Microphone static backfires..
... And pounds my ears like fresh grenades broken
Even when I’m floating, I’m trying to hide
But it seeks and finds me - burns inside like oxide
It’ll crawl in my head and die - just to punish me
Taunt my mind until I lose peace, need to refurnish B

Relax - smoke - relapse - choked up - I doped up too fast
But it’s still there! - I cannot smoke away the problem
There’s no solvent, so I’m looking at rock bottom

A map for an escape route so it’s there permanently
Churning within me - butterflies of a different kind
Spirit confides over time and I’m left w/ an empty mind
Empty? Wait – Something’s still trying to live
And I don’t want it to keep breathing!
... But blood’s receding and I just can’t give
My all in this fight, throw down the mic, knuckle up
My buckle’s fucked, for this ride I have to use subtle touch
Not be too pushy - or it will attack all organs w/ such a vibe
That my body will pulsate and shake uncontrollably like wire’s live..
When you just graze them - I fall down, call out loud
"CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME GET THIS OUT OF MY FUCKING HEAD?"
I expect someone - but instead get nothing less than silence..

It’s finally caught up to me - invisible but holding paper and pen
My head nods - but I try to spin around and move my feet again
But I trip, and the utensil gets gripped in my hand..

I’m no longer man.. Admitted Defeat..
