I didn’t see the tag for some reason, only just come across this while checking new posts…

To be truthful there’s likely less topical heads than there are text battlers right now.

As much as I prefer topicals, the active pool isn’t there at the moment for that sort of demanding league.

The best thing I can think of at this point for you guys would be perhaps to start up a succession of short and quickfire tourneys - Fight Night style stuff - with a low amount of sign ups required (8 man), quick turnover, its resolved within a night, and we get tourneys seen through to completion with activity on the board. They’re easy to mod, easy to vote on, easy to take part in, and easy to complete. Start it small, then build on it. Like you did with the 1-2 Punch thing. Once these Fight Night type deals get more interest they could be implemented more frequently. You don’t really want to be trying to go for 16 sign ups at this point, this is going to have to be rebuild from the ground up and started small given what were used to seeing. But the people are out there still. They just have nothing to compete in (and/or waning interest).
