Lovely Bones vs Witty

they called me Kid Flawless, a fighter with promise
I never risked losses but fight a bit cautious
soon became contender, was worth all I endured
so I dawned the leather with the title fight rendered
visualized victory by way of sickly scene
technically quicker feet and mental trickery
trained day in and day out from AM to PM
drained but didn't lay down, was aiming to beat him
I was the clear underdog but was game on fight night
he rushed and put thunder on but I graced his might's plight
I weathered early storms to start my title reign
his leg had curved reforms, he couldn't hide the pain
winner by submission and my opponent hurled
written like a fiction, was on top of the world
became history's most dominant champion
until visibly gross injuries had me in
early retirement, a muay thai accident
during a regimen my arm was smashed and bent
a long healing process kept me devoid of hope
returning was nonsense but was annoyed by ghosts

been two years since the two it took me to heal my bones
I reminisce of you, I need to feel my zone
my one true love is calling, it's time I came back home
touch gloves, my skin is crawling, can I reclaim that throne?
en route to reclaiming the belt I never lost
I hurt my arm blocking then felt a measured cross
the current champ's leg kicks are relentless as well

So what I get is you doing a NEO when he shakes off the dust of his body. Classic Trajik verse. You have a knack of crafting internal rhymes and doubling up to sustain the flow. I like how you cross reference the fight of a boxer to the fight of someone who is physically impaired. What gets me is that you didn't stay on one aspect and then switch to the other. It was a dance between the two images that played well. I hate that you got no showed and against my better judgement I should have recombined you with self as his verse would have given you a run for your money. But guaranteed next week you need to be at the top of your game....Good shit here...
