Doesn't seem like you did a whole lot, almost just seems like text and a few effects planted on an image.
I would have to agree try usin more brushes other then effects i mean effects help but it just looks like thats alll u did i would read alot of tutorials an then go from there font is garbage also try downloadin more fonts

The red skull was cooler... but you gotta work on typography and adding effects to it.
