Every song I do it sounds like I take way too long gaps between lines. When I breathe it takes too long or when I try not to breathe so long I run out of breath. Any tips on how to get a better flow and stop these gaps? Is there a certain way you guys go about it so your breathe lasts the entire verse? Do u make the reverb longer at the end lines so it doesn’t sound like there’s much of a gap or do u layer the verses and just spit what u can till ur out of breathe then start again from there? I’m just lost on how to improve it and need help.

Na... You'll never get a nice end product relying on a reverb or delay for something like that. Work on your flow, like everything else practice makes perfect. I mean you can correct vocal imperfections to a certain point but you don't want that to be the backbone of your music. Try reading the forum they specifically posted for rhyme scheme/word play and shit... Guess that shit can help if you're feeling helpless n' shit, I jus think you need to be patient.

yea I did read it I still got them gaps though it feels more natural to spit it faster cuz im used to listenin to bone thugs and imitating them but when I try to stray away and slow it down it don’t work

if you mean you take too many gaps between your verse than write a few more words in there so there is no gaps, and um, i heard theres a breathing practice you can do that makes your lungs stronger but iunno if its true, youll have to do a bit of a research. and do w/e music you like doin, if you like makin fast shit like BTNH, then do it
