I use my mixer if it's from a vinyl.
I recommend anything with a 5+ lebvel equilizer. Just open the audio on it and remove the main bass kicks & claps/snare by turning it to 50% volume or reducing bass etc.
I hate doing all that shit, thats why I dont remix much unless the acapella is released.

there is no way to do it without making a horrible sounding acapella.
you can use the phase reversal trick like the one on that link, but the result is a wack. The quality will be horrible.
and that trick doesnt alaways work, because not all vocals run on the same phase and frequencys.
