The Meaning of Life
A question left unanswered, sometimes asked as a joke
Is there a definite answer? A few people still seem to hope
Is it a single goal for all? Does it depend on what you believe?
But why make a mission, that is rarely or never ever achieved?
Was it conceived by God? Or is it human thought that drives us
To strive for a distant goal, in which we will never triumph
Does religion effect this enigma? Or is it a universal code
Is the answer mathamatical? Or will no one ever know
How would you determine something, that has no logical basis?
How can it be the same, for people of different sexes, cultures, and races?
Throughout history many people, have presented propostitions
Here are a few of the best, you decide and make a decision
Hypothesis 1
The answer is quite simple. it's to live long and with good health
To prosper happily, and to collect mass ammounts of wealth
To be looked up to, and have many admirers of all different kinds
To be better than all others, and intellectually smarter in the mind
Hypothesis 2
No, No, No! The answer is quite more simple my friend
Everyone is quite unique, to each their own end
You must discover for yourself, find enlightenment deep inside
Until you find it keep searching, until the day you die
Hypothesis 3
Both of you are wrong, the question posed instigates lies
There is no meaning of life, except to try not to die
The question provokes people to think this out too in depth
It's really quite simple, Live. Nothing more, nothing less
So what do you agree with? Is this an impossible statement?
Do you find it naturally? Or must you make a payment?
When was the first time, that this question was ever concieved?
What do you think? I'll start you out...."I believe............"
